Example Masterclasses & Workshops
The examples listed here have proved their worth in a number of organisations:
A two day Masterclass led by two Catseye facilitators for between 6-8 participants:
For senior leaders wanting to be even better at developing and inspiring those around them.
Delivering a large portion of the content themselves, the leaders explore the concept of resonance – a powerful, positive team mentality that generates enthusiasm and a collective ‘will to win’, along with the behaviours that deliver it. With many opportunities for peer feedback as well as 1-2-1 sessions, the leaders will become increasingly sophisticated in their approaches to messaging and leading change.
A one day Masterclass led by one Catseye facilitator for between 6-8 participants:
For senior leaders wanting to understand the complexities of human interactions so they can form better connections with their people to boost engagement and productivity.
Increasing their levels of self-awareness, the leaders will gain new insights in how to move towards a more trust-based approach to leadership.
A two day Masterclass led by two Catseye facilitators, with four professional role-players on the second day. For between 12-16 participants:
For people stepping up in their career from being purely technical experts. The first day focuses on developing core leadership skills whilst the second day raises commercial awareness and client relationship skills including plenty of skills practices and feedback.
A one day Masterclass or Workshop led by two Catseye facilitators, for between 6-8 participants:
For individuals or teams getting ready to present – be it small and informal or a client conference. A very practical Masterclass with the first half spent creating a presentation and the second half practising part of the delivery with filming and feedback.
A one and a half day Masterclass led by one Catseye facilitator and one professional role-player for between 6-8 participants:
For people working on a live situation where influencing others will be the key to the success of their project. As the masterclass progresses the participants keep applying different perspectives to their own project to gain more insight on their approach to influencing.
On the half day, everyone gets to test-run an important stake-holder conversation multiple times until it is refined and ready to be had for real.
A two-day Workshop led by two Catseye facilitators for up to 4 pitching teams (each team typically comprising 3-4 people):
For teams of senior leaders who are due to step into the dragons den of the boardroom to get backing for a particular initiative.
Participants build confidence in their own capabilities through practising their personal impact skills and channelling their anxiety into something more positive. They explore what it feels like to be a board member and how best to work as a team to impress them. The importance of teamwork, storytelling, and flexibility come to the fore as key differentiators.
Significant chunks of time are committed to the teams so they can develop their pitch, then rehearse and refine it with help from filming and feedback.
A one-day Masterclass or Workshop led by one Catseye facilitator for up to 16 participants:
For people who want to get more from attending networking events. This practical workshop will equip participants with a positive mindset and some practical frameworks to be even better at networking. They will feel more comfortable and purposeful in how they approach and conduct conversations that create a favourable impression and a lasting impact.
The day is formatted to be relaxed and fun, with lots of opportunities to try things out and walk away with a clear plan of how to be even better.
A one-day Masterclass led by one Catseye facilitator for up to 8 participants:
For leaders who recognise that storytelling is one of the most powerful skills they can deploy to empower and inspire others.
During the masterclass participants delve into the science and emotion behind the case for storytelling, then identify the key elements of great stories drawing on a number of well-established frameworks.
Throughout the day many stories and stories about stories are shared by all involved. At the end of the day the leaders tell a story of the future where their stories have helped change the world around them.
A three-day Masterclass or Workshop facilitated by two Catseye facilitators for up to 8 participants:
For leaders and L&D specialists who want to understand the science behind our magic as facilitators so they can start delivering the same. In this intense and rewarding course participants develop increased empathy for learners through a numbers of lenses and apply this understanding through their own practice sessions. Techniques and tips are shared as confidence is built through peer and one-to-one feedback.
A masterclass only for those with a strong growth mindset and a steadfast commitment to developing others.
A one-day Masterclass led by one Catseye facilitator for up to 12 participants:
For leaders who want to get better at zooming out and taking a more strategic approach to running their business unit rather than being sucked into reactionary operational demands.
Participants increase their understanding of strategic habits and plan how to adjust their own behaviours to get more progressive results. Time is spent exploring how to be comfortable with making decisions in a VUCA world.
NB this masterclass focuses on the mindset and behaviours of being strategic, it is not a guide on ‘how to come up with a business strategy’.
An afternoon Workshop led by one Catseye facilitator for a team, with tailored consultancy support before and after:
This is for a team of people who want to move towards a better future – for instance an all ranks team facing a challenge (eg product / service innovation, a shifting market, relocation, expansion, etc). The facilitator will help the team move away from the limited thinking of what is possible now to a place where creative and divergent thinking can flourish and open up brand new possibilities. The facilitator will also guide the team to add pragmatic points to their vision and help them start on the next steps of turning it into reality.
An afternoon Workshop led by one Catseye facilitator for a team, with a remote follow up session:
This is for a team who rarely share a physical space together and are keen to optimise how they collaborate. From exploring the practicalities of time zones and personal working patterns through to agreeing communication protocols the team walk away with much more clarity of how to channel their energy into positive project outcomes.
In our experience this workshop sits well at a project kick-off or quarterly meeting when everyone is actually in the same space!
A two-day Masterclass led by two Catseye facilitators for up to 8 participants:
For leaders and facilitators who want to get the best out of those around them when they are generating ideas and agreeing courses of action – a great set of skills for internal consultations and focus groups as well as for collaborating with clients.
This masterclass is peppered with techniques for opening up divergent thinking and then filtering into convergent decision-making. The techniques are role-modelled by the facilitators and put into practice by the participants.
A one-day Masterclass led by one Catseye facilitator for up to 8 participants:
For people reaching a junction in their career this is an opportunity to pause, take stock, and take charge of their next steps. This masterclass resonates particularly well with those who have been on a professional qualification path where success is clearly defined, and are now moving into a more ambiguous space where progress and success can feel elusive. Newly qualified lawyers and accountants in particular have much to gain from this masterclass. Businesses brave enough to host these masterclasses are typically rewarded by people making an active decision to stay and deliver more; or move on to something more suitable for that individual’s and the business’s long-term well-being.
The Masterclass Process
We support you in ensuring you get a solid return on your investment through our purpose, outcomes, and commitment (POC) process.
View examples of a business and individual POC.
- In conjunction with key stakeholders you complete the business POC to establish a case and metrics
- Potential attendees create their own POC via an on-line questionnaire and a conversation with their line manager to align business and personal outcomes
- Selected attendees experience the Masterclass, tailored to their needs as identified in the POC’s
- Attendees reconnect with their line manager to integrate their learning into their day-to-day job
- You can collect data and stories to check the Masterclass has achieved its purpose
Usually our Masterclasses are delivered by our expert facilitators, however we can also train your in-house team to run them.
